On July 27, 1999, a prayer meeting started consisting of 6 couples. This number quickly grew to 35 members and on September 1, 1999, Hope Community Fellowship held its first church service. It was held in a one room rental at Body and Soul Complex led by Pastor Pete Zengel. As membership grew to over 60 people, the church moved to 306 Bridge Street with its first service on Easter Sunday of the year 2000.
Over the years, the church has experienced many ups and downs, but we continue to meet in Weissport. Throughout that time, God has shown faithfulness, God has shown discipline, God has provided, among many other things. We don't know what the future holds for Hope Community Fellowship, we only know we want to follow God's leading, no matter what.
