Statement of Faith

Scriptures

We believe that the entire Bible, both Old & New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant, infallible Words of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Psalm 119:160)

God

We believe that there is only one true, living, holy and eternal God. He exists in three equal persons as God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Spirit. Each is a distinct person but all are united in one essence. (Matthew 28:19, John 14:16, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 5:7)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin woman, and lived a sinless life. He was Crucified on a cross and became a substitute by which we have been redeemed, He died and was buried and then physically arose and now sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return in His heavenly power and glory. (Matthew 1:18-25, John 10:27-30, 1 Peter 2:21-25, Isaiah 52&53, Acts 1:9-11 & 20:28)

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, equal with God the Father & God the Son. He is the one who convicts us of our sins and the chief agent in our regeneration and sanctification. He in-dwells every believer and empowers us to live a Godly life. (1 John 5:7, John 16:5-15, Romans 8:9, Romans 8:26-27)

Mankind & Sin

We believe that God created man in His own image. Adam, the first man, disobeyed God causing sin, resulting in the fall of all mankind. Sin separates us from God, which results in both physical and spiritual death. (Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 5:12, 3:23, 6:23)

Salvation

We believe that we are saved by God’s grace through His shed blood, death & resurrection and through no works of our own. Because we do nothing to gain salvation there is equally nothing to be done to lose it. (John 3:16-18, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 10:27-30, Colossians 1:14, 1 John 5:13)

Ordinances

We believe that the only ordinances of the Church are Baptism, by immersion; and the Lord’s Supper. Neither are a means of salvation. (Matthew 28:18-20, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, Ephesians 2:8,9)

Heaven

We believe in a literal heaven where those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior will spend eternity in His presence glorifying God. (John 14:1-4, Matthew 24:29-31)

Hell

We believe in a literal hell, of fire and brimstone, reserved for eternal judgment upon those who refuse God’s means of salvation, where they will be subjected to indescribable pain, suffering and anguish forever. (Luke 16:19-31, Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:10, 14-15, 21:8)

Spiritual Gifts

We believe in Spiritual gifts according to their application in Scriptures. However, we do not agree with the modern day application of some gifts. Specifically, speaking in tongues, baptism of the Holy Spirit separate from Salvation, Divine Healers, and other related acts common in many popular movements today. We feel that they are not using these gifts accurately according to their purpose as taught in the Scriptures. (Acts 2:1-8, 1 Corinthians 13:9-12, 14:1-40, Ephesians 4:7-16)

Prophecy

We believe in the bodily resurrection, and blessed hope of a pre-tribulation rapture of God’s children, a seven-year tribulation, pre-millenial return and reign of Christ. (John 20:24-29, 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Daniel 9:27, Revelation 20:4)
